Windows Update Settings Generator API

POST https://api.findutils.com/api/tools/windows-update-settings-generator/execute

Generate a Windows Update configuration script (.reg, .ps1, or .bat) plus a matching restore script from a preset and/or individual settings, and return them with a risk level and a change summary. Presets: gamer_mode, full_control, safe_defer, metered, custom. Settings override the preset.

string optional

Script format. Default: reg. One of reg · ps1 · bat. Default "reg".
preset

string optional

Starting preset. Default: custom (all defaults). One of gamer_mode · full_control · safe_defer · metered · custom. Default "custom".
windows_version

string optional

Target Windows edition. Default: win11_pro. One of win11_home · win11_pro · win10_home · win10_pro. Default "win11_pro".
settings

object optional

Overrides: auto_update_mode (disabled|notify_only|download_notify|auto_install), pause_duration ("7"|"30"|"90"|"365"|"max"), and booleans no_auto_restart, disable_driver_updates, disable_delivery_optimization, disable_wuauserv, disable_uso_svc, disable_waas_medic_svc, disable_scheduled_tasks, minimize_telemetry, set_metered.
include_restore

boolean optional

Also return the restore script. Default: true. Default true.
