Hash Comparison Tool API

POST https://api.findutils.com/api/tools/hash-comparison-tool/execute

Hash text with MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384, or SHA-512 and compare the hex digest with an expected hash. Returns the computed hash, the normalized expected hash, and match true/false (null when no expected hash is given). Useful to verify checksums and integrity.

string optional

The hex digest to compare against. Case and whitespace are ignored.
algorithm

string optional

Hash algorithm. Default: SHA-256. One of MD5 · SHA-1 · SHA-256 · SHA-384 · SHA-512. Default "SHA-256".
