01 Our Commitment to Privacy
Most FindUtils tools process your input directly in your browser, so the files and text you give them are not uploaded. Some tools must send what you enter to do their job: lookup and network tools (DNS, WHOIS, IP, SSL and similar) send the domain, IP address or URL to the resolver or service named on their page, and a few tools such as the HTTP Request Builder and Webhook Tester relay requests through our servers. Each of those tools says what leaves your device on its own page. Separately, our pages load analytics and advertising scripts, described under Cookies & Tracking.
02 Data We Collect
We collect usage analytics (pages viewed, approximate location from your IP address, device and browser type, and how you interact with pages) to improve the site. We do not ask for personal information unless you provide it, for example when you contact us, sign up for an account or subscribe to updates. Input to a lookup or proxy tool is sent to the service that answers it, as that tool page describes.
03 How We Use Your Data
Any data we collect is used solely to improve our services, respond to your inquiries, and send you updates if you've subscribed to our newsletter. We never sell your data to third parties.
04 Data Protection
We use industry-standard security measures to protect the data we store. The strongest protection is not receiving data at all, which is why most tools run entirely in your browser; the tools that do send data say so on their page.
