How do I create a seating chart?
First, set your desired number of rows and columns. Add student names, then click 'Initialize Grid' to create the layout. You can then manually assign seats or use 'Shuffle & Assign' for random placement.
Can I manually assign specific seats?
Yes! After initializing the grid, use the dropdown in each seat to select a specific student. Previously assigned students will be moved automatically.
How does shuffle work?
The shuffle feature randomly assigns all students to available seats. This is great for fair seating without favoritism.
Can I print the seating chart?
Yes! Click the Print button to print a clean version of your seating chart. Settings and controls are automatically hidden.
Is there a limit to the number of students?
You can add as many students as you have seats (rows × columns). Our grid supports up to 10×10 = 100 seats.
